In a pan over medium heat, add oil. Stir-fry garlic and onions until soft and translucent. 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 3 cloves garlic, 1 medium onion. Add the ground meat. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until no longer pink. Season with black pepper. 2 pounds lean ground beef or pork. Pour the soy sauce, oyster sauce, tomato paste, and fresh tomatoes.

Step 1 (Sear the Vegetables) Heat your pan over medium-high heat, then add a thin coating of oil. Spread out 2 cups of potatoes and 1 cup of carrots in the pan, then sear until they develop a light golden crust, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside. Step 2 (Sauté the Aromatics) Lower the heat to medium and add more oil if necessary.

Add 1/2 cup of beef broth. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add carrots and potatoes and stir. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add green peas and stir. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper according to taste. Add the green olives, mix and simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat and serve.

Saute for few minutes until fragrant. Add tomatoes and cook until soft for about a minute. Add ground beef and break to pieces. Cook until lightly browned. Remove excess oil/fat as needed. Add water and cover. Cook for about 10 minutes or until beef is cooked through. Add chicken cube, ground pepper and fish sauce. Allow to cook to few minutes.
