It is a volcanic sand beach with calm waters and dozens of palm trees and gardens which give it a unique personality.

Sunbeds are 3€ each but at 16:30h they want everybody to empty the sunbeds because they are "closing", and its full of tourists on the beach left. The cafe/restaurant and the toilet is closing at 16.00h, which is weird and strange when its a lot of people on the beach left. Visited March 2023. Travelled with friends.

Going east towards the castle, El Castillo San Philipe, are Playa Chica and Playa del Castillo but swimming was not allowed at the time of our visit..
