The Column of Marcus Aurelius is a monumental column located in the heart of Rome, in Piazza Colonna, a short distance from Trajan 's Column, and close to Via del Corso, known as the Via Lata in antiquity. The Column for Marcus Aurelius is located in the northern part of the Campus Martius, on the west side of Via Flaminia and just north of what is known as Via Recta or Via Tecta. It lies south of the Mausoleum of Augustus and east of the funerary Column of Antoninus Pius. On its northwest side are several funerary altars for the Antonine Dynasty.
